A Poem by Catastrophe

I don't know if you're still breathing
Laying there, on my bedroom floor
its about 4:30; I'm thinking
Why'd you have to walk through that door
I didn't plan on seeing you again
I didn't want you in my life
I thought you'd done enough damage
But you had to come stir up a new fight
A thousand different memories
of what the two of us used to be
are constantly haunting me
I wish I was the one who couldn't breath
But instead there you are lying
with your face down on my floor
a red pool keeps on forming
and I sit here with a drink; no sorrow...

I think there's a gun over at my feet
my mind is all over the place
I seem so confused, don't know what to do
the last minutes of my life have been erased
You just got me so angry
and no longer could I stand
all your accusations; and all those things you said
So in with a bullet your life had to end
you haven't moved from my bedroom floor
now I know your dead
laying there with that gunshot wound to your head
I sit here knowing you're gone
but I still don't feel glad

suddenly I see the lights flashing
and I know they've come for me
Someone must have called them
but it wasn't me
I don't have a choice anymore, do I
they'll only take me in
I can say it was self defense
but those fools will never understand
So I'll crawl over to my bed
finish this drink that heals me
Ask God to understand
I never meant to hurt anybody

And as they swarm through this house
two bodies they find
To them its all casual
"another double suicide"
no notes
no explanations
no eyes that saw what took place
just two bodies in the same room
and to the rest of the world
its just another day

Wow, it really wud be wudnt it...its a bit depressing, but nothing wrong with that i think u just need to work on how u structure the poem and try and give it a better flow, so its easier to read i found myself getting lost sometimes...did you write this for the contest or before?
