Intruder

Intruder

A Poem by The Purple Kazoo
"

written for a contest ("Picture Poem This 11")

"

She doesn’t belong,

with her brilliant radiance

glowing mane

of white-blond hair.

She knows

what looks back at her

from the surface of the placid pond:

the picture of innocence,

exempt from all faults and burdens

faced by every other living thing.

They know this.

The rightful inhabitants,

keepers of the dark woods,

can see that

despite perfection,

she is damned to roam eternity

as the intruder.

sweet sweet sweet. I love this. I hope I understand it as it is meant to be understood. But my interpretation of this poem makes it awesome! It's so short(ish) and it says so much.
great great write.

This is an interesting interpretation of the picture. I like the perspective and find this well written. Congratulations on placing in the contest. You certainly deserved it.

Thank you for your entry into the Picture Poem This (11) Contest!
Yes 'contradictory to the general consensus' I would say; but then
isn't life that way? Even in fairy tales. I enjoyed the read!
