Just A Girl

Just A Girl

A Chapter by therisa
"

First time, I saw myself, as a woman in the mirror.

"
My eyes caught
An image fantastico
One
Never thought possible
Would happen
Within my lifetime.

Of a woman
Staring back at me
Through the bathroom mirror
Early Sunday morning.

First thought
Filled with doubt
And disbelief.

I am
Either half asleep
Or a trick
Caused by low lighting
In the bathroom.

Thus
Can not be true
As I wash up
Heading back to bed.

Only to
Have her appear
Again.

Could this be true
He has left the building
For good
Never to return?

Oh I hope so
Making my wildest dream
Come true
Next to mom’s acceptance
Of me
As her daughter.
