The Lovers

The Lovers

A Poem by The Dark Passenger
"

A short poem I wrote in regard of the Tarot Card: "The Lovers" which is meant to portray a connection or a lack of, to one's own world or reality.

"

Entrapped and begotten,

In memories forgotten,

Lie men in all their misery

In their mind’s own taut tapestry

Victims of their own judgment,

Prisoner of their own deliberations,

A voice kept silent,

A world out of reach

In trenches over yonder,

in lives in spent whispers,

where do these lovers lie

when all the world becomes a darkened lie?

Prisoners of their own deliberations,

Voices kept silenced,

A world out of reach...

to be trapped inside a thought... Great read for me and i been reading all day, the sense of imprisonment and oppression is portrayed elegantly through your use of words and imagery. Great job

hmm suck your blood, peculiar visuals

anyway, i liked this poem,
good rhyming i liked the pace, and the force of it.
its like a lion chewing basically is what i mean.
but i guess that dosent make much sense to you.

oh the flow is pretty brilliant i might add
and the break
- a voice kept silence,
the whole thing is just very lyrical,

anyway, thanks for sharing.
i will try to read one of your storys when i feel less ADD.
