This Writers Block

A Poem by Lady Tyke

A screen of darkness has fallen

Covering my mind with loss

No words worth being spoke

No stories being born

It isn’t the words fault

Nor is it the fault of fear

There is no blame to fall

I just do not utter

I dare not speak

What if the unthinkable were to come?

All could be given away

Hideous, oozing secrets

Wounds not treated

A broken bone not set

No, words must not be spoken

Instead I shall sit

I shall consume myself with others words

Others creations

My body aching to fulfil its role

To nurture the unborn sounds

These lips of my mind must stay shut

Uttering no thought

No child of writers love

Save the pain

Protect the creature of words

You shall wonder

You shall plead

But no

There will be no more

I have forced this writers block.

The darkness of writer's block is a formidable opponent. Beautifully written with your own unique point of view on such a relatable subject

Dear. the meaning of your poem is going parallel to the context on what you have based your poem upon. Here and there there are lines that suits the need of the message you want to convey but the rest are like the music in Indian films; present just to fill the gaps. Gap-filling is good but should be avoided to a large extent. Although the creativity was flawless especially after you had picked such a strange thing to write poem upon.
