Black Cherry

Black Cherry

A Poem by Sarah Marie

I stole the fruit from the twig

Then brought it to my lips;

I tasted Heaven in a cherry tree,

But he seeked the fruit of my kiss.

Expecting sweet and succulent,

He dragged his tongue along the sheen;

He licked the glossy trail away,

Transferring the shine from my lips to his.

He sampled passions instead of produce,

But he enjoyed the aftertaste--

Instead of  a warm red dripping with juice,

He tasted the woman beneath the surface;

He dipped his tongue beyond the tint

Then savored the flavor of my dark kiss.

We crossed the stem between our mouths

Until our tongues tied like the knot;

The color trickled down my chin,

But he still drank the nectar he found.

“Ma cherie,” he whispered to me,

Lapping up the lipstick

And kissing the black cherry goodbye.

Leave a most sensual daydream in its wake.

Not only was this good but it sounded good too. That's very important and something that is overlooked by many.

Great job.
