Through clear eyes

Through clear eyes

A Poem by Heather

When the rose colored glasses finally break,
and the light gently breaks and shines through
all the shattered pieces
it shows a harsh reality
once hidden by the sweet color
and bliss of ignorance
but when the veil comes up
when the thin rose colored glass smashes
under the pressure of lies and deceit
what will you see?
a glimpse of reality?
or only the fantasy you've created?

I actually love this, it's like the first time you see what reality is really like

About
I just love to write. I've used it as an escape for years and just to vent, and I just enjoy it. I've been too scared to join an in-person writing group so my friend finally convinced me to at least d.. more..
