Betrayal

Betrayal

A Poem by Thyme13

A man is missing

in every photo of my

youth. He is gone,

a Sasquatch or a yeti,

only outlines and blurred

extremities.

Crafting scissors sharp

as scalpels, Mother

carefully dissects memories

removing the genetic donor.

The now dusty, yellowed album,

Pruned.
