Word play

Word play

A Poem by GhostlyAuthor

Red fog glazes tired eyes
Words haze a lazy mind
Scars crosshatch pale wrists
Quick fingers scrambling to cling desperately to lost time
Frayed threads hanging on a hunched back
Weak knees swaying in a cold breeze
Long sleeves hug books shielding tall walls around a broken heart
A white sheen covering a sickening bout of emotions
Cold words writing a world around shattered dreams

I love the imagery. It is so clear and precisely cut. When I read this I could really see each of the images clearly and beautifully. The words flow together without any choppy pauses or jumps. The words flow into each other and tie the whole piece together.

It is beautifully written. This is a strong poem. Again, I could really see the piece, and hear the voice of the speaker.
