Cross Road

Cross Road

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

where we meet

"

              Cross roads

There are time's rivers will cross and then time's they'll part.

These are just a few of the many things life has to offer.

Even if we try to defuse the otherwise, we must accept reality.

Grow and move forward like water to reach the ocean.

Where we will be, then and only then, truly free.

Isn't that just the truth. Too few people accept reality, and I pity them for that. I like how you carry the river metaphor all the way through this, truly a great read. ^_^ I really, honestly enjoy your writing, and I don't give out compliments like that for just anyone.

Beautifully penned. Why not just let go of our control and let our lives flow like they are supposed too. I love the fluid flow of this moving poem.

Our lives flow much like water, and our lives connect with others whose lives are also flowing like a river. Beautiful comparison.

The title speaks for itself Mauricio. You're words just set it free. I love this metaphor of the river.

The use of water to explain human events is always a good choice. Nice writing, Mauricio.
