The House of Cards

The House of Cards

A Poem by Mauricio Montoya
"

The hands were dealt with

"

The king has his queen

A realm of princes and princess

As the jacks hold ground

To command a kingdom

From ten to one

in all four corners

The count

Always remains the same

Yet one fine sad day

The joker ceased to laugh

Instead he cried

How can we build a house?

If we won’t follow suit

To our demise

 we'll tumble.

A cleverness of words using the royals and commoners of the pack, and the villain joker proclaims a game to the death - perhaps!? Not at all sure I've interpreted your meaning correctly but, do think your use of the words is individual and the font etc. reminds this friend how well you write!

You brilliantly play with a full deck, my friend, twisting, turning words one over the other! Perhaps we could all be happier if we simply followed suit, but what fun would that be?
