ODE TO AN ATHENIAN

By: christine zapanta andes

Let me stare twice

To that curving lips,

It brings sunshine

To an everlasting breeze,

With hair slips through your fingertips

In such gaze,

The summer freezes

In a melody of a Christmas eve.

I’d like to know

If that dancing smile,

Contained breathless

In your silence,

Perhaps

Captures the eye

of a kindred spirit.

You captured thought, turned it into emotion and illustrated it poetically :)
