A Poem by christine zapanta andes

RED
by: christine zapanta andes

still is the wind,
it grew with the slashing leaves between my ribs,
reddened and empty,

looking at the sky
is your eyes searching, molding
with sweats of a tear

but I blink though
I remembered it was autumn
as your hands follow each single blade
of dry water falling between my ribs,
reddened, darkened

but your eyes.

"Is your eyes" interrupted the flow of this for me while reading and "single blade of dry water" didn't make sense to me. Maybe it has some enigmatic meaning I am just not getting. Sorry.

you may read the 4th and 5th line spontaneously. thank you for the review
This is a masterpiece of creating emotion is such a few lines. There is a song that this poem triggers in my mind. "Winter time" by Steve Miller or "The Carnival is over" by Dead can Dance.
