Whispers of a Sahara

Whispers of a Sahara

A Poem by Precious Seconds

Image result for Sahara night

Sands seperated by the whistling sun
Poverty of singular grains shiver in heat

Whispers of life long lost through day
Thoughts settle through dusk like debris

Seeping to another silver line in hollow space
Sands of the soul talk of a lover undeemed

Calling out the names in gentle converse
Youth would reside with little blame

Rainbows of a dream would deflect this light
As your arrival would befall this soul

To greet the rebirth of whispers through sand
Hiding within your shade of all islands

Gazing upon the brightest moon on tracks
Midnight stars would guide us to mercy

Leaning onto the idea of being broken
Less is the heart standing before you in forgiveness

Breach not the veils of our sight in darkness
Rain on us the waters of mercy

Simple whispers of a Sahara

life is a desert...and that water of mercy is what keeps us forgiving one another...

the world needs more rain...we are getting so thirsty for love and peace...
i like the last line...wanting all of this is as simple as a whisper...
really good description here.

Thank you so much Jacob
There must be wonderment in an ocean of sand.
Harshness but life seeking. A journey of optimism. But not for the fainthearted.

Thank you Paul
Seems there is hope and optimism in there, yet fairly dark and lost at the same time. Really enjoyed your writing. Thank you.
