Windows

Windows

A Poem by Tracey Gould

The desert snow

Drifting, dusting

Confetti flakes

Innocent, pure

Whispers of change

Window to the world

Your slate-colored eyes

Longing, wanting

Blissful smile

Peace, serenity

Hints of tomorrow

Window to your soul

The dancing fire

Flirting, illuminating

Glowing embers

Wild, free

Reflections of today

Window to our yesterday

East-west wind

Howling, rustling

Invisible kisses

Reassuring, pleasing

Evident excitement

Window to your mind

Gentle, leading hands

Teasing, warming

Strange and familiar

Caressing, taunting

Brushes of love

Window to your heart
