Good Morning, My Love

Good Morning, My Love

A Poem by Tracey Gould

2007, 6:08 AM, dreamy eyes peek open

Thoughts of My Love consume me

A fast spreading wildfire,

New love, passion, youth, and faith fan the flames

Desiring your hands to pour over me,

Like raging head-to-toe orgasms

2007, 6:16 AM, eyes gently close

Images of My Love comfort me

Begging, pleading the imagery to last,

Carrying me to the New Year

Your voice resonates, a soft whisper

In my ear, “I’m so happy.”

2007, 6:43 AM, eyes warm at first glimpse of a new dawn

Wonders of My Love taunt me

Like a young boy teasing his first love,

Old souls, lost in a big, big world

Alas finding each other, sighs of harmony

Hints we are one

2007, 7:02 AM, sunlight grazes my face

Silhouettes of My Love haunt me

Longing for our last Thursday morn,

Together, forever, in your strong arms

My face, cupped in your hands

Our lips embraced, entangled, entranced

2008, 8:40 AM dreamy eyes peak open

Touches of My Love overcome me still

“Good Morning, My Love”

Gripping you for dear life in our mutual embrace

Breezing breaths of many tomorrows

Gone are the stolen nights; taken by mercenaries

Revelation we are one.
