Hurt Once More Too Soon

THIS POEM IS ABOUT LOVING SOMEONE ELSE BEFORE YOU ACTUALLY HAD THE TIME TO LOVE YOURSELF.

 

This time I trusted in this man

I confided in this man

I even made love to this man,

even though I was just his friend.

Spreading my legs way too fast

He lay there in between

But he could never love me beyond his sheets,

It was just too soon, I played the part of being his biggest fool

I was hurt once more too soon.

I can only blame myself

I became a victim for him, trying to be his perfect match

And I learn to late that all I had to do was be myself.

Now my heart aches so badly, because I truly cared

He could have love me back,

I wasn't a bad person, just confused

It isn't fair.

Now I will take this lesson I learned

Into the next relationship anew

I will grow with this man,

Friends first which I feel is the right thing to do

So I won't get hurt once more too soon.

This one is so true with lots of great meaning.. if looking to be serious with someone never, ever jump right in bed!!! If you want a man to respect you .. you have to respect you first! Sure woman have desires just as men do but we have to be the ones to put up that stop sign if we want a great healthy relationship. Great emotions I could also feel being that you messed up with someone you did care about.. that hurts.. especially if he walked away but is a lesson that will stay with you! Thank you for sharing.. keep it up! =)
