It can't rain all the time...can it?

It can't rain all the time...can it?

A Poem by Trista

"

It Cant Rain All The Time...Can it?
Those words haunt me in my mind,"It can't rain all the time."
But can't it though?
It rains non-stop in this little world of mine.
This world i've created to keep out the sun, and the hurt.
Why shouldnt it rain all the time?
Every drop is a broken heart, a damaged soul, and the lies that made them that way.
They pool together in a deep, black puddle on the ground, where the lies can no longer escape.
I sit here day after day, watching them collect.
These are the things that make the real world un-perfect, so they are sent to me.
I didnt ask for this fate of mine, but I accepted anyways.
Not that I would have had a choice.
They followed me around everywhere, so I brought them here to this little world of mine.
Where the sun never shines and the ground never dries.
The wind carries secrects that escaped broken hearts, and fills the air with whispers.
You may wonder, why I would choose this life?
Its all I know, and besides, I was never really alive.

I like your use of imagery. However, you seem to go back and forth between rhyming lines and non-rhyming lines. Also, the poem seems to contradict itself at certain points. The speaker seems to think that things can't always be this bad, but then again seems to be resigned to the fact that they are. Maybe that was intentional. All in all, it's a powerful poem and demonstrates a good use of imagery. Keep it up.
