Dreamland.

Dreamland.

Dreamland

Sapphire grey eyes shed a salted crystal tear.

Blinded, the wind cools the burn, bringing back memories from before.

When the sadness hadn't yet drown out the light.

We aren't living. Not really. All we're doing is surviving, and biding our time until the next let down.

The drugs though, they make it go away. They always make it go away.

They take you to Dreamland, where you don't feel a thing.

Sometimes it's better than the reality your in.

But sometimes, you don't resurface.

And you stay in Dreamland, forever young, forever numb.

How true this is, but we have to continue hoping that there won't be another let down, that life will eventually lead us to a place where we want to feel the happiness so that the drugs will be useless. Trust me I know from my own experience that that day will come even though it may seem out of reach at the moment.

This is a great piece! I really enjoyed it... it's so true that the drugs make you numb and bring you to another world but in the end someone needs to resurface and grab onto reality... This is very well written Great Job!
