forget me

forget me

A Poem by TL

forget me
forget everything
from my brown hair, brown eyes, pink lips
to my bitten nails, bruised knees, and scars
scars that people like you might as well have hand carved into my skin
scars that remind me everyday that i'm better than your sloppy kisses and empty words
forget the night we met
and every night after that
all the nights i filled your empty soul with my light

Stand tall. Keep your head up. Press onward. Don't let negative people fill your life. Make those haters envious of your courage and strength. You are strong. You are beautiful. It's time to become confident and do what's best for you. Rise above. Live. Shine. You have the power within yourself to blind your enemies. You got this! Your scars tell a story; one that you have overcome.

this piece makes me feel like people are not allowed not alone i this world. sadly this happens a lot, forgetting someone is so hard but once someone hurts you you want them to forget you even exist.

I love how this piece get right to the point. It sound like the writer has found a sense of dignity and put the other person in their place. Strong and beautiful work.

A beautiful piece, really. It has dark undertones, of woe and pain, with the simplicity of vulnerability and words. It's beautiful, unlike the pain.

Keep writing. Share the great work you make, and let your heart bleed out from fingers and onto pages. It helps.
