Visit me more often

Waking in tears, it all felt too real, to have seen my loved one who has passed.

The sight of you walking in
Your face lit up with cheer
Wrapping your arms around me
Giving me hope that you were near.

Holding on to me so tightly and
Not letting go until you could feel
That I had regained my composure
and was able to stand on my feet.

I'm so thankful for the image
If only in my dreams you came
To support and love and guide me
Through this upside-down maze of life

Your being forever remains in me
Your memory as strong as ever
If missing you were an event
I would be the main contestant.

Thank you my dear for the visit
Please let it not be the last
Come stay in my dreams more often
And tell me of all that has passed.

Thanks for reading, Ling. This was something I wrote down, with tears streaming down my cheeks, after a dream of my loved one. Sometimes I just want to get the feeling out and writing them seems to help.
