You Mean So Much

 Will you ever know

how much you mean to me?

 

Your nods, hugs, compliments, and promises

mean so much

 

But seeing you happy

is so much better

 

You skip around

always smiling

especially when you see me

 

We can talk

about a lot

or nothing at all

 

You comforted me when I was sad

and lifted me up when I was down

 

Will you ever know

how much it all means?

 

We are close friends

but all of a sudden

I want to be closer to you

 

I tell a friend

another soon finds out

What if they told you

how I really feel?

 

When I'm in your arms

my worries disappear

 

When I'm by your side

nothing else matters

 

You're the one

that I can always count on

 

You're my missing piece

in this crazy puzzle

of life

 

You're actions confuse me

hello's but not

goodbyes

 

You give me a kiss on the cheek

but how do I know

what it really means?

 

It's almost summer

if anything is going to happen

it has to be now

 

Will next year be too late?

Will I have moved on?

 

You mean so much

and I want you to know.

 

You fill my dreams

we're always together

 

But then I wake up

and wish for my fantasy

to be true

 

If we were together

what if my parents

said no?

 

'You're too young"

I would say

I'm mature

 

"He's too old"

I would say

It's only two years

 

If they ask about you

they get the truth

 

You're the

sweetest

kindest

most considerate

guy I know

 

If I tell you

What if you don't

fell the same?

 

What if I keep quiet

and you do

feel the same?

 

How will I ever know

unless I speak the truth

 

Whatever happens

I want you to know

 

A piece of you

will always be with me

 

No matter

where life brings us

 

No matter

what this year brings

the one I need

to get me through

I know i can ALWAYS relate to this one and I can relate to the argument about age differences...
Its long but its definately something that everyone can relate to at some point in this poem!
We always deal with the fact we are too scared to admit love but we always think about the negative too as we sit there wondering what it would be like if we never go for it...

this is really well expressed, love the actual realness to it along side the emotions and what if's the questions unanswered... would love to know if you ever told your friend and what happened, if you didn't do you regret it? Dying for a conclusion... ;)
