Simple Treasures

everything, that

meant anything,

was in

her bag...

and without

it close,

all would

be gray

Oh wow. I felt this. Alone in the world, needing to have something (someone) to direct their affection toward, now misplaced on a thing ... or things. Sigh.

I have a younger sister who was lost in the world of drug abuse for many years (she's ok now), and she carried with her a small box that contained a few objects with no real value... such as a broken watch and some other things. She guarded it with her life. It was all that belonged to her and she was emotionally attached to it. It broke my heart. The human need to have something, somewhere or someone to belong to is huge.

Wow, I went off on a little journey there didn't I? lol Sorry, I do that sometimes....

Back to your write... it's brilliant! Speaks of so many things with only a few words. Well done James.

HA! That is the most original entry I have read for this picture so far. You're the best poet I know. No doubt. Very amazing!! Love how it goes hand-in-hand with the picture. Thanks for entering it into the contest. Hopefully I'll have it all judged soon.
