Let me out!

Let me out!

The little kid in me is seeking attention ... :)

Let me out!

Let the child in you talk!

If you don’t have a pen,

Offer him/her a chalk.

Sit down and let it all rain.

The treasures you will find,

Are costless… and unique.

All hidden in the mind,

Waiting for your time to unclick.

Simple words will define,

Life and more in color.

Listen, hear, feel the sign,

A child is his/her own tailor.

Free spirit, no enclave,

The child in you is alive.

Surfing your moods on a wave,

Gathering shells as he/she dives.

I tell you as I remind myself,

Not to forget this little child.

Once we put him/her on the shelf,

Everything becomes wild!

I like very much your theme The child inside need some time to play. Now Im in my second childhood Im old enough to make afool of myself as the mood takes me The fancy font does nothing for your readers espaecially those of us with failing eyesight. I find it best to stick to a plain text

The thought behind the poem is wonderful and true. Love the use of colour.. maybe the font could be larger or maybe slightly different... some of the letters merge a little.

I tell you as I remind myself,
Not to forget this little child.
Once we put him/her on the shelf,
Everything becomes wild!

That final verse is so true.. so unkind to leave a child behind, make him or her feel like a failure. There's a talent or skill in every little one, just has to be searched for

Thank you for sharing such a skilful, attractive and thoughtful post.
