A Poem by Calypso

Sun

Blazing

Summer Heat

Melting Ice cream

Swimming in a pool

I love summer vacation

Late nights, long movies, fun

Snaking out when Grandmother is asleep

 Summer love never lasts forever

His arms are my haven, a place of love

Mid- July, hot days, even hotter kisses full of love

My desire. Lost in time. Filled with love with everlasting lust

He hasn’t left, my summer fling. For there is much love

Nice upbeat poem. Nearly didn't read the last line though as it didn't seem part of the poem.

I like how the form of the poem is so tightly woven into the poem itself. The gradual growth of each successive line an the lack of punctuation at the end showing the continuation.

Fantastic poem.
