The days until Christmas

The days until Christmas

A Poem by Calypso
"

Don't try to sing it, because it sounds nothing like the 12 days of Christmas. This didn't really happen to me, I just thought it was funny.

"

On the 12th day until Christmas

my husband decided

to put the lights up,

but thanks to nasty fall

we spent the night at the hospital.

On the 11th day until Christmas

I finally finished my shopping

but my grandson called to

let me know his dad had bought him Black Ops,

which I had already bought him.

On the 10th day until Christmas

I went to a party

and didn’t know the eggnog was

spiked. To make it simple my

friends now have blackmail.

On the 9th day until Christmas

my eggs spoiled so I had to go to

the store. It was like murder.

On the 8th day until Christmas

I couldn’t find my cookbook

and thus had to spend 5 hours

on the computer trying to new recipes.

On the 7th day until Christmas

My radio broke

and now I can’t listen to carols.

On the 6th day until Christmas

I was told to have a Happy Hanukkah.

The problem is that I'm not Jewish.

On the 5th day until Christmas

I felt like a holiday ninja

because I had to fight threw a crowd

to get a movie for Sally.

On the 4th day until Christmas

I chewed the cashier

out for not having

having the book I ordered

On the 3rd day until Christmas

I bought some candy canes and

gave them out at church. Mainly

because I feel bad for chewing

out the cashier.

On the 2nd day until Christmas

I finally mailed out my cards.

I had forgotten I even had them.

On the day before Christmas

I rested with hot coco

when my sister called to

tell me she was coming in.

That’s great, but that

means  I have to buy

her presents and made more food.

Tragic days until. what's worse is to have it sneak up on ya. It does me that way every year. A good read.

This sounds just like my Christmases in the past. I keep trying to change things but it's always more BS every day. Very good poem, true for alot of people, I'm sure.
