Screams and Whispers

Screams and Whispers

A Poem by Victoria Nakis

She screams at the top of her lungs
Screams loud for the world to hear, screams for help

The screaming stops and everything is silent
Tears start to fall down her cheeks
For she's realized that no one is coming
She raises her head to the sky and screams again
The wordless scream pierces the sky
Such pain, such despair fills that scream
Again she stops with tears still in her eyes
Alone she still stands

She feels forgotten, she feels unloved
She falls to the ground

Stares at nothing but darkness

As she closes her eyes for the last time

She whispers with her last breath, "Help me".

About
My name is Victoria. I've lost touch with writing lately, but it's always been a passion. It's my favorite outlet when the feelings I have can't be contained. I'm not particularly good at poetry.. more..
