I Am

I Am

A Poem by Laura Ex

I Am
Thinking of you in the morning and wish my alarm clock wasn't
Broken
So I could wake up in time to see the smile on your face as you make your way
Alone
To your work place. I love it when you come home after I've been waiting
And waiting
To fold you up in my arms. You bring me flowers, but they're wilting and about
To die
Maybe the sunlight will show that they're really alive and things aren't how they seem to be.
