Childhood

Childhood

A Poem by vb11
"

Acrostic

"

Companionship, in the form of a teddy bear,

Held onto with small animated hands, belonging to one

Insistent on not sleeping, yet nodding into
Lazy exhaustion.
Dad tells a story, as
Happy little eyes,
Out of sight of worldly evils slowly
Open then close for good, stunted for now from
Development, masked by golden, juvenile naivety.
