I See You

I See You

I See You

From

The Word Garden

Of

Valormore

In gentle whispers made by falling leaves,

 I perceive you summoning.

In cloudless mist upon my face,

I hear my name upon your lips.

~*~

In the presence of my enemies,

I evoke your assurance.

In frightening tempest of vast enormity,

I perceive your reassurance.

~*~

In volleys from slings and arrows,

I stand whilst others collapse about me.

In merging blood of innumerable innocent,

I fathom your indignation.

~*~

In smoke from altars far afield,

I recognize your displeasure.

In platitudes made to artificial deities,

I appreciate your indignation.

~*~

In all things great and small, I praise your Holy name.

that spirituality that carries us through so many crises...we look to him to be behind us and within us...

i don't feel he is just in some church building on sundays...it is more than a profession of faith that counts, it is feeling it....living it...and living it towards others.

we know he knows.

i like the allegory of this poem....to present the theme.

My pastor asked my how, in my later years I would remember God. I told him he's everywhere, in creation, in life, in me. You can see him, not physically, but yes you can. As for indignation, I find it perfect jealously. Thank you for sharing this. :) I regret not hanging around writerscafe for this long...

This is reminiscent of the 23rd Psalm.

I don't think of God as being indignant.

Thank you Marie for reading and commenting. I believe idolatry makes God angry.
The poet is so close to God. A beautiful poem on adoration much appreciated.
