Black Lilies

Black Lilies

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

Innocence seeping internally outward

Purity bleeding from stained flowers

Evaporating away in dried tears

Sweetness turning bitter in the black

Softness shrivels away in the dark

And whistles softly in the wind

Singing the song of the black lilies…
