Windy Nights

Windy Nights

A Poem by Amethyst Rose

Little flowers peeking softly around broken branches

Laying sleepily against the shattered wood

So beautifully untouched

Soft petals against the hard splinters

Picking them up and cradling them close

Shivering slightly in trembling hands

A gentle shower begins to fall

Light and cold against the dead wind

They wilt in the weeping water…
