Unknown Power

Unknown Power is something I wrote as another edition/spin off of my previous work, "They are watching"

When we become sleep deprived we change.

We become entirely new people.

Same body, Same soul

New mind.

We act different.

Speak different.

Think different.

What sounded like a bad idea before now sound brilliant.

And vice versa.

You start to see things that aren't really there.

You're paranoid.

Nervous.

You twitch at every unexpected loud noise that punctures your kingdom of silence.

As the tick-tick-tick of the clock 

drives this new mind to the brink of insanity. 

Your body stops working the way it did before.

You become numb, but hyper vigilant.

Aggressive.

And just as you're about to discover the unknown power of this new mind,

your body forces you to sleep.

Forces you to sleep and locks the power back in the cage it narrowly escaped.

Back to the daze we call reality.

Back to the blindness

Back to the safety.

I can very well relate to this sleep-derived phenomenon.. Lack of sleep does make a person paranoid.. Nice reading it ☺
