Light the way

Sitting here in this Penninsula of pain,
I had nothing to loose, all to gain.
A past connection,  allowed your intervention
a welcome contradiction to my world of addiction.
Eager to please or downright resistant, 
I was a sinner you appeared a winner.
We teach what we most need to learn you say,
from dark into light, you showed me a way.
Took some hurdles for our roles to discern,
flattery bred yearn, our purpose is to learn.

Gently removing your crutch it was time to fly
it took true love, true friend,  you are a natural high.
So why do others not understand, 
why is such open sharing mentally banned.
Our ticky tacky energising chat,
it's not exclusive, why don't they get that?

Im freer, not self limiting you see;
I can tell you what you mean to me.
With you I can wallow in the tragic, 
or share and revel in your magic.
Or feel wonder at the natural images of your flow,
amazing are the silhouettes of your soul,  you Know.
Visible to you is the beauty inside, 
captured with a click by your minds eye.
You're like a bubble on the wind floating by, 
uplifting, a blessing I count everyday 
I thank you for showing me the way.
