Soul Untamed

Soul Untamed

A Poem by Traci

When meaning left

the unknown self waits for deep thunder

dim and mysterious, untamed by life

inside the limits of now.

Hidden truth, shattered and swept away

contagious indecision, purity in brokenness

darkness covers, soaked in honesty,

control and abandon, beautiful danger…

and i love your oxymorons...beautiful danger, purity in brokenness....so many truths in this...the darkness is always real, but sometimes the light is fictitious...and in that "contagious indecision" we can often go in the stormy direction we don't want to.

Behind every light there is shadow. I love your piece because it represents the strengths of the side we often are too afraid to chose or come to terms with. I'm waiting for the deep thunder to introduce me to a me I do not know as yet. Your piece echoes the word Freedom, for life often has its ways to cage people. Great stuff!

Nice. I love the Power in this, the strength of the Raw, the Wild, and always the Untamed.

Thanks J. :)
It makes me think of letting go of all your wordly possessions, all your marketed values and opinions and just being your primal self. Almost like in the movie Fight Club if you've ever seen it. If you haven't I highly recommend it, a work of art. As is this poem! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much Damien. I have not seen Fight Club, thanks for the recommendation.
Your form and flow bring the soul to light, make us aware of the dark depths of all that lies underneath the surface of our being. There is so much more, and how I long to discover it somehow.

Thanks owl for taking the time to read and review.
Being a gypsy with a sentimental heart I can relate to these contradictions. Well said.

Thanks Dale.
I've read your poetry for quite a few years, Traci.. and when, these days, you display words like the above, I realise how miraculously you create the deepest thoughts and feelings without overwhelming your own ability and your readers' understanding'.

This a union of dark and light that somehow melds into absolute reality within literary elegance

Thanks Em. At times my heart bleeds in darkness, yet the light always surfaces.
