The Drink

How should the drink of life be drank?

Sniffed, and examined, and tasted carefully,
Every flavor and odor scrutinized
By the objective critic over its worth?

Swallowed slowly, enjoying the experience,
Allowing the intricacies to be appreciated
Without the details discriminated?

Or should it be gulped, drank to the dregs,
The love abused and swallowed whole
And the goblet left bone dry?

How should it be drank?
