A Poem by Valerie

We are threads tangled and untangled
You and I

And to most
We are a painter's pallette after painting
Everywhere is a color unnamed by those who never look with both hands and eyes
Chaotic debris

We are a puddle the size of an average man's fist
Striving to reflect the grandeur above our heads
Just a tiny and blank puzzle piece

But to us
We are a spider's web
Silver and silk
Sky lacing us with water kisses
Glittered dewdrops
A wonder, a home

We are a child's dreamcatcher
A willow, beaded and feathered
To sing the lullabies
To say the prayers
To free the soul as it walks a mile from here

We are dancing knots
Transient
Tangling and untangling
With the sunset's smile upon our backs
And the spring wind whispering in our ears

We are threads
Tangling and untangling

love the "average man's fist"

also love the spider web metaphor making complex relationship a definition for home

a little confused by fifth stanza

love the poem, just trying to give balanced critique :)

Beautiful poem Valerie. I... Literally have no words. Reading this reminds me of fate, its complexity and at the same time simplicity. Reading this reminds of the universe and of home. Wonderful poem. Simply put, I love it :)
