Vanessa is a Day Dreamer

Vanessa is a Day Dreamer

A Poem by Vanessa

When the sun begins to set,

day dreams take shape.

They feed

on the possibilities

night has to offer.

Stepping

out of my bedroom window

like a secret,

they rearrange the stars,

spelling out names

for me.

However,

day dreams

are little pranksters

and pretend

to be fortune tellers.
