What?

What?

A Poem by Friday Night

You said this to me,

You said it to me very clearly,

"I love you."

So I ran.

I ran away from the comfort

From the light

From the love.

It was a mistake.

But I said it anyway.

I said to you, after hesitation,

"What?"

My voice was full of

Absolute

Disgust

And why?

Why was I disgusted?

Because I realize now, after you're gone

That I was only disgusted,

Because you,

A beautiful,

Kind,

Amazing

Person,

Loved the monster

That was me.

Wow. It's full of images and most importantly - full of emotions, it makes us feel something. The ending is great. I like how you portrait the question of self-disgust and insecurity here. Keep the good work!
