And I won't tell no one your name.

And I won't tell no one your name.

A Poem by Anne Lyons

I always knew you were the one I wanted.
There was no one that could compare to the way you had me.
You had me the moment your eyes met mine and I knew then.
I fell in love with your eyes, looking at you, and watching as you
made everything wonderful.
Then, you were everything to me and I loved you in a way that
I thought I was incapable of.
And now, I love you more than I did then.
I lost you and everyday for the rest of my life I will only wish I can
be in your arms again, watch you smile in a way that just took my breath away.
To hear your voice in the morning, and to hear those three words we used so regularly.
I would give anything to have that again.
I hold tightly to my dreams, for they are the reality I always imagined with you.
I try to escape the love I found in you but our song follows me everywhere.
As if I'm constantly reminded of the night you took my hand
and danced with me, picked me up and kissed me goodbye.
It was the beginning of a summer romance that never ended for me.
