today is the birthday
of an idea

gestated in
both space and time
brought to fruition
by complacency
words and rhyme

today is the birthday

it is fluid
like brilliant water
it has been cradled
until now
tightly within the arms
of the tide

today is the birthday

it knows how
to make itself known
but instead
it walks alone
searching for a home

I like the pounding intro to each verse. It articulates much like a brain in thought. This poem has a beat to it where a lot of your work has a flow. This is an artistic write. Nicely done.
