Pain's Deception

Pain's Deception

A Poem by MoonShine

I am all alone and cold, enveloped in darkness

I search for something to be my light, but find only emptiness

The difference between hell and here, is only flames

I feel like I'm in an orphanage waiting for claim

I'm lost, and I want to be found

But no one is searching, so in the darkness I’m left to wander around

I’m desperate like a passenger in a sinking boat

Hope is the only thing keeping me afloat

But my feet is shackled to an iron ball of despair

And eventually I sink my life beyond repair

So now here I am in the abyss of darkness

I can’t even breathe, but I tried to regardless

But pain gets the best of me, and I give up

I have been knocked down too many times, I won’t get back up

This is me and my pain’s perception

I merely hope you don’t fall into pain’s deception

Because…

There is always hope

Dark, cold, and lonely

All mean absence…

So if it’s dark, chase after the light

If it’s cold chase after the heat

If it’s lonely chase after love

Don’t let pain’s deception make you forget

All the good things you can get
