Without You

Without You

A Poem by 100 Times of War

Let me lay in the rain,
Soaking in its wonder.
Let my heart race
And my breath refresh me.
Let me bask in your perfection.
Let me spend my last heartbeat
Loving you.

Let me stand at your door,
Beg you for a touch.
Have me turn around,
Without my faith.

Have me lay in front of a train.
Soaking in its melancholy.
Have my heart freeze over
And my breath stand still.
Have me choke in my tears.
Have me spend my last heartbeat,
Dying for you.

Author's Note

100 Times of War
I wrote this after hearing that a 'friend' of mine (VIF) was having a bad day today.
