Dancing Necklace

Dancing Necklace

A Poem by Joel Junior

Sitting at the corner
of the dark and empty room,

Smiling
and

Hugging knees
while
Feeling the warm salty liquids
Gushing gently

Intestines tied into a hammock knot
Lungs folded eight times

I am miserable,
I miss the kisses that took me to heaven
I miss the hugs
I miss seeing your smile
I miss the voice that made me happy
I miss you

I really
Really
miss you

Now as I raise my head
I will continue smiling
I’ll picture out your face drying up my tears

I miss you so bad!
So bad,
that even the stars start crying
So bad,
That it makes me realize…
I am strong enough
to cheat death.
