Words

Words

A Poem by Tamara

Sometimes I wish that I could exist on words alone.

Rich luscious, delicious phrases that would put chocolate to shame.

Sharp, cutting words with the ability to eviscerate more effortlessly than than the sharpest of knives.

I would wrap thick, plush lyrics around me to keep me warm on the bleakest of winter nights.

I could construct a new me out of lonely

and sad

and missing you.

Maybe she would have the right words to tell you what you need to hear because

please

and

I love you

never seemed to be enough.

This is only hours old and I've only gone over it once. I wanted to post it while I'm still feeling brave. It's my first attempt at spoken word.
