Imagination

Imagination is the key to creation.

I want to be an artist so much that I forgot something more important.

Imagination!

I follow so much of all the rules and technique I learned that

I forgot to be me.

To the one thing I love,

Creating my imaginations

Making it part of me

Experiencing the things I never would have done.

:Side Note:

My mind is full of ‘what if?’, ‘What if this…?’ or ‘what if that…?’ then I create a scenario in my head like a little movie. I think I forgot that, my life is full of disappointments, failure and problems that make me sad and lonely that blocks my imaginations.

I really liked this one! It speaks an undeniable truth in the fundamental flow of inspiration, as both the yin and yang of our lives go into our mind as the brush caresses the page. If there is to much pepper and not enough sugar, than the painting shall not turn out the same or with as much life as if there was a balance. Our art is an echo of our own inner well being after all.

A strong piece of poetry about something real. Not like the fantasy that I write. I like this.

Of course, I think one of the keys to the problem posed by the quote you have as the final line, is one must take that reality and add a little fantasy to it. I often twist reality in my head after I have experienced it. I do things differently, I changed the order of events, the setting, the people. Sometimes I even change me.

In short, you already have the answer. Imagination. Add a little sprinkle to everything you experience. It helps to loosen the hold of realities' chains and breathe a little.

thank you greatly, you i know my friend i told a reviewer... that atleast once i could publish a book, now thinking about it... it's quite a long shot... still I never thought i intend to make a living out of it... maybe because my poems are quite personal(some of it are about my life's struggles~ specially this poem)... I'm just glad to share them and received yours and other's feedback brings quite a happy joy to me... that is why I'm so grateful to received your comment/feedback...

Sometimes we need to stop and reflect, be alone with ourselves to find that deep sense of imagination. It takes time but it comes and flows in our work - whether in art, music, or writing. I like to listen to soft music while writing and meaningful photos also inspire my poems -that's a combination of Art - it births imagination. Your written work here paints the process all artists go through, and you laid it out in honest simplicity it cuts with superb impact. Wonderful writing.

akala ko nga masyadong complicado yung pagiging napa sensitibo ko(overly sensitive at times) nagagamit ko pala sya sa poetry..simple bad things makes me so down in my thoughts..kaya i've learned to trim it down a bit..palagi kasi akong na bully noon..kaya some nag file up na yung emotions, pero natuto nako..to trim it down so that you'll not hurt yourself and everyone around you. Yes - I think we should not let people's words destroy what it inside of us and the past is past - nothing we do can change it but the future is all there -so we do our best for it. Writing always comes from our experiences and our dreams & hopes.

even though my dreams are shattered a long time ago, but my hope and faith in myself keeps it intact. I'm a hopeful person in times of harsh reality..i think about God, his with me in every struggles.
