Ashen Gray

Ashen Gray

A Poem by Pax
"

(#_#) ~ Beauty in Solemnity

"

My day seems to be in a dark place

It’s like I’m separated and out of trace

Silence is my only answer to the choices I only ponder

My leaves have turn into weathery colors

Ashen gray

It keeps on falling as I keep on growing

My mind is at ease on the bed grass I see

Seems like it’s in tune with my fantasy

Like illusion has come out of my reality

There is beauty in solemnity

But in truth it’s lonely

when you're alone.

I dream of a time I make memories

Great with victories

but then I felt it was not worth it

for achievements are savor to someone you shared with

This place has come to its highs and lows

a moment I borrow in depths of sorrow

I reach out to tranquility

For my patience is my virtue in this painted creativity

Someday I will bear the fruit of my owning glory

Continuing the roots of my existence

Somewhere in time.

This work is totally fiction but then again it’s a piece of me totally base on my emotions of what i felt on the current situation...

I guess I'm being moody this past days... though i used it to write to ease some tension on the mind...

always thank you for reading my works... your responses are always a treasure to me....

Dear poet, a wonderful piece, one that has grabbed hold of me, making me yearn to tell you this: You are NOT alone...
So many of us have been, or remain in this state of loneliness, where our need to share, to communicate, to be understood, and have a "witness" to our life. Sometimes, in our despair, we neglect to look around, our eyes blinded to those who have always been there, even though we can not see them, or even feel them. You would be surprised to find that the most unexpected souls have be present all along. Take the quiet moments to breathe and listen, let your mind be aware... I am here, I will be, with my hand reaching out dear friend. So many understanding souls exist in this cyber space, a concentrated energy that can get you to realize your worth, your life and soul is witnessed by us all!
Sending you much Love and light my fellow poet, keep expressing yourself!

In this piece I can feel so much honesty, so much sadness and melancholy...Which is somehow creative when it comes to your poems. I like how you painted this gentle emotion-poem, with symbol of the tree and leaves in ashen gray. This color reminds me of separation from the earths illusions, of special place where I could stay alone with myself, tranquility and realizing the passing time. In this fantasy place you find yourself again, your roots are the same through the time, as the tree here. But your leaves changes with the seasons. I thought more on this verses:

Like illusion has come out of my reality

There is beauty in solemnity

But in truth it’s lonely

when you're alone.

mm, I want to ask you, what do you mean with "solemnity"? heaviness or seriousness or something else?
I can understand the both, in connection with the lonely truth. Its very nicely said, Pax!

I would say the moments when a poet is moody are the best times to sit down and create. This is a beautiful piece and I love the description within. Another title drop and the emphasis on the color, and the emotions it personifies, are very well done.

To comment on something within the poem; it is very lonely when you're alone.

Nice work, my friend.

you're right...there is a certain something that makes sharing good scenery, nature's beauty with someone else much more significant...

but also, sometimes we need solitude to stop and appreciate what is around us.

lots of introspection here.

like it.

It is no sin to be in a dark place. We have all been, are, or are going to be there. It is a natural part of life that meets with us at some point during our lives and for some it is an everyday part of life.

Being alone can seem like a desolate existence for many. I have known it and also know that it can be an element of depression for individuals even if they have someone in their lives.

What I like about this poem is the way you ended it:

"Someday I will bear the fruit of my owning glory
Continuing the roots of my existence
Somewhere in time."

This is a good way to look at the situation and put it into perspective. Dark days are like internal season's. They come and they pass.
In tranquility lies many answers.

Good poem Pax. :)

we share the same sentiments when we write,i think.writing for purging a hodgepodge of emotions.the metaphor for the tree's existence suited the melancholic tone and feeling that you did want to convey...
