Element Of Air

Element Of Air

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

The zephyr of morning, in the rays of glistering sunshine

To harking of the breeze as it gushes thru Oak, Ash, and Pine

Aseeking hawk glissades deosil thru the sky of blue

Spastic and frantic sparrows, darting here and there, seemingly have no clue

The majestic trees of old, succumb and undulate in the winds

The winds powerful outburst irrupts thru the canyons many bends

At times the wind can be a gentile airy breeze

Or a turbulent gale with a gloomy windy freeze

The breeze assists the small boats across the seas

The gale does uproot and destroys many trees

Nothing hinders nor belays the breathe of wind

When children put kites to the air, they know it as friend

Yet the breeze pushes the fluffy white clouds all around

As the yellow sun sinks lower into the ground.

I never thought about all the things that air does. You made me sit and ponder your thoughts plus some. You have taken a seemingly uninteresting topic and brought it to life.

Being an Air element myself I felt a special connection to this poem. I love the feel of the wind on my face in the heat of summer or the cool breeze coming off the sea in the fall. The scents is carries and the way it makes the trees sway. Beautiful piece! If only it wasn't so cold right now I'd like to go out and enjoy it : )

Wonderful description of such an unknowable and unseen element I really like this. You do justice to this life nurturing force of nature. Very well done!

I liked the classic style of this piece and the words were as wispy as the subject, very nicely written! :)
