Kismet*

Kismet*

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

Past reflections

Hands cold with sweat

A moment lingers

Time ceases to exist

A choice echoes into eternity

A day clouded in shame and misfortune

The coward troubled, confused

A second of chaos, hated

Shards penetrate the shade of my mind

Blankets cover normality

A paradigm shift

One deed unjust

A lifetime of payment

Hands guided exploit

Change my life forever!

Yes, and the title suggests there was no undoing whatever tragedy occurred? Is that so, do you think - or as you say did the 'Choice echo into eternity'? A masterful line that really struck me. To make a choice says to me there is more than fate at hand yet you leave these questions meandering through my mind. Wonderfully penned. Thank you.
