Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by Christopher 'Windstorm' Kells

Utterly lonely

People acting phony

Family doesn’t care

In a car trunk, long forgotten spare

Yet a spare to what

Treated as a strange mutt

Wanting to give up

Half full is the cup

Why the dagger in the back

What happen, what do I lack

Apologies for wrong I did

A smart mouth, trouble making kid

What created this

Family I do miss

Feeling shunned by them

A tag-along clutching mother’s hem

Somebody explain about being alone

Far from family, friends, home

Do you miss and love me

Slight wind, I cannot see

Speaking differently a turned back

Confession upon hells rack

Back on path

Seeing how you care, done the math

Knowing who cares about me

The same portrayed once free

Not the only one exposed to this

Dealing with it, a smile and hiss

Cannot pick family like friends

Taking in all curves and bends

We don’t want or need you

Put into a emotional state of blue

Please hold my heart with love

Yet you drop anvils upon it from above

Scratch my thoughts upon a blank page

Tired of this stage

Comprehension lost for this life

A knife to cut this rotting strife

Scared and lonely true

But to carry on the clue

Picking up fragments

Heart and life without merriments

It’ll be better once out

Seeing the end, use clout

No love of personal contact

But human, not exact

Endlessly going on, I won’t

Lying to this face, don’t

Fairly give, fairly take

An exceptional life to make

This is good. I can relate to it. Sometimes I feel alone in a house full of people. This is a very good poem that many people I feel could relate to.

I understand! The ones that should be there for you... the devestating feeling of being alone, even in their presence, but once accessed a better life is obtainable. Well done!
